Anti-independence activists want to overthrow the elected government: Agriculture Minister

Agriculture Minister.  Abdur Razzak said, "The anti-independence clique is still active.  They do not want to see Bangladesh as an independent country. They want to make Bangladesh a state of Pakistan. They want to overthrow an elected government.

They will never succeed. Because the people of the country are now united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  The development of the country will go a long way. No one can resist it.

We will not allow the country to destabilize anymore.'

He said this while addressing a conference of district BCL at Tangail Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park on Saturday noon.

The Agriculture Minister said, "The great liberation war is the greatest achievement of the Bengali nation.  And Chhatra League has played a key role in this achievement.

New leadership is being created in Chhatra League through the conference.  This new leadership will take the country forward in the coming days.

District BCL convener Mostafizur Rahman Sohail presided over the conference. Chairman of Tangail District Council, District Awami League President Ekushey Medal winning freedom fighter Fazlur Rahman Khan Faruk, District Awami League General Secretary MP Bir Muktijoddha Joaherul Islam Joaher, former Central BCL General Secretary MP Nazrul Islam Babus and Tangail District  Members of Parliament, Presidium Member of Central Juba League Mamunur Rashid Mamun, President of Central BCL Al Nahyan Khan Joy, General Secretary Writer Bhattacharya spoke.

The conference was attended by leaders and activists of different units of the district BCL and leaders of Awami League and other organizations.
