Bangladesh will become a developed country in next ten years': Faruk Khan MP

Awami League presidium member Lt. Coronel (retd) Mohammad Faruk Khan said that whenever the Bengali nation tried to move forward it fell victim to international conspiracy. The assassination of Bangabandhu was also an international conspiracy. We have to be careful so that we do not fall prey to international and domestic conspiracies again in the future. This will be our oath today.

He said this while paying homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on the occasion of Great Victory Day and 50th Golden Jubilee of Independence at 11 am on Thursday.

He added that the Bengali nation will not fall into the trap of BNP-Jamaat or foreign conspiracy. Independence, democracy and development will continue with the head held high like Bangabandhu. Bangladesh will become a developed country in the next ten years. Even after the assassination of Bangabandhu, the Bengali nation is advancing on the ideals of Bangabandhu.

Earlier, the presidium member Lt. on behalf of the Central Awami League paid tribute with flowers at the altar of Bangabandhu's mausoleum in Tungipara. Colonel (Retd.) Faruk Khan. Later, he took part in the Fateha recitation and special munajat seeking the blessings of the souls of Bangabandhu and the martyred members of his family.

At the district general secretary of the Awami League Mahabub Ali Khan, Tungipara Upazila Awami League president Abul Bashar Khair, general secretary.  Babul Sheikh, Municipal Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul and other party leaders and workers were present.
